Even when you love your magical practice, there are times when you just cannot muster the desire to cast a spell, do a ritual, or participate in divination. You can avoid the disconnect that comes from this lack of energy to do more by making your practice a part of your mundane routine.
Read on to see 9 different ways you can connect with your practice on a more mundane level!
Enchant your morning coffee or tea.
If you’re anything like me, you need a cup of coffee as a part of your daily morning routine. Before you brew your coffee, you can stir a sigil into the grounds to match your intention for the day or even add a bit of cinnamon for energy!
Similarly, you can pick a creamer that’s ingredients correspond to the kind of energy you need for the day. Stir a pentacle into your cup, and you’re good to go!
Dress with color magic.
Color magic is an often overlooked practice that you really should integrate into your outfits more!
I’ve written a color magic starter guide outlining the different correspondences of colors, but as for ideas; black with some “sharper,” more aggressive jewelry for protection and warding, or soft, pastel pinks and oranges for attracting a pure and loving friendship could be very effective!
Wear enchanted jewelry.
Enchanting your jewelry is an excellent way to subtly imbue yourself with whatever flavor of energy you desire to carry throughout the day!
Enchanting can be as simple as speaking your specific intent to your piece, or you can up the ante by adding crystals, herbs and other layers to your enchanting ritual!
Carry a crystal tumble.
Crystals are a well known and beloved source of energy that is both beautiful and easy to carry with you…especially in tumble form!
There are hundreds, if not thousands of different varieties of crystals and stones to choose from! Third Spac3 carries some of the most popular and well known crystals, so view our selection here if you’re looking for some!
Wear spelled anointing oils.
Spelled anointing oils not only smell good, but they can serve many a different magical intent!
You can create your own with just a little bit of effort, research and patience (guide coming soon!), or you can purchase our unique crystal roller oils here!
Talk to the trees.
Little note here: this doesn’t have to be out loud if you’re self conscious about what others may think! Simply directing your attention and thoughts towards the trees and plants on a grounding walk can be soothing.
You’d be surprised how much they can have to say and how pleasant they can be!
Dabble in some kitchen witchery!
If you think about it, a stew is a potion! You follow the instructions in an old book, throw different ingredients into a cauldron, and let it simmer for an hour or two before serving it to your sick partner. They start to feel better, and BAM, that's a working spell you got there!

Clean(se) your clothes!
One of my favorite ways to integrate magic into my daily routine is to make the magic practical. I already have to wash my clothes, so I may as well spiritually cleanse them while I’m at it!
I have seen people pour a bit of Florida wash, a popular spiritual cologne, into their laundry to cleanse it. Personally I don’t have much of an attachment to that method, so instead I’ll occasionally toss a bit of moon water in with it. It doesn’t harm my clothes, but it still boosts the spiritual cleansing of it.
Stick to a bedtime ritual.
Practically, this is an excellent way to ensure you get a restful sleep, but beyond that it can be a great way to begin to practice dream magic. It is generally believed that you are at your most vulnerable when you are sleeping because you are…well, sleeping.
Keeping some protective crystals in your pillow and making a lucid dreaming spell sachet can help you protect yourself from negative entities and become more aware during your dreams.
I have personally made my own lucid dreaming spell sachet and it has assisted me well on my journey of decoding them and healing the trauma patterns that have finally made themselves known.
